The Donation

On the verge of installing a revolutionary brain implant to shut off his grief, Palmer Wilde—the creator of the brain-computer interface—discovers a nefarious plot by a government agent to misuse his invention. He learns the plan is tied to something far stranger than he could have ever imagined. To stop it, Palmer must uncover the purpose of an alien artifact that's been donated to him by a higher intelligence so that he can stop his creation from becoming the instrument of humanity's destruction.
